Yay!

Ok so for those of you who haven’t heard – we’re finally having our opening! Saturday the 24th of January Amanda Lachapelle Photography’s – Love Story Gallery will be open. We have only a small space but it will be filled with photos and stories of our clients. The gallery is an homage to all of you who have let me into your lives in the last few years. So if your free come on over and check us out, it’s open house style so you can drop by anytime in the 6 hours.

In other news – do you remember me mentioning that I wanted to make a seperate site for my portraits? We’ll guess what’s up! It’s finally done – in fact the whole site has been redesigned to go better with the feel of the current direction and well it’s really just more – me. The two sites are up right now but the portrait one still has some links that need to be fixed as they send it back to the wedding site. This will be fixed by Friday.

If you’d like head on over to www.amandalachapelle.ca and check out either of these sites and let me know

Here’s a little peak at our splash page!

I hope to see as many of you as possible at the opening!

Wishing you friendship and love,

Amanda Lachapelle

ALP Christmas party

This year we have a few more people in house so I decided to have a day at the office where the girls came in and we chilled out. With the office renovation nearing completion I brought the Wii in and ordered some pizza. Here’s a few snaps – ***warning*** spoiler alert **** Photos of the office mostly done (minus photos on the wall) included so you kinda get a sneak peak at the reno…

Wii BOXING!!!

OK so the next two photos need some explaining – At the party we were talking about how nowadays it seems like a lot of teenage girls profile pictures on social network sites are taken by themselves with a digi. We were talking about how that’s not as easy with a DSLR and Sam decided to take a shot at it and making silly faces – well let’s just say – it’s pretty funny with a wide angle lens heh heh

My sister laughing at one of the crazy Rayman Raving Rabbids games (seriously – best Wii game ever)

Randi looks ready

Katie looks crazy here – this was actually the game where you had to shake a can of pop really fast and the faster you shook it the more bubbles so that when you drank it the burp would be bigger.

Yummy treats that Sam brought (and made)

Some of the premises for these games were very strange and kind of frightening – obviously lol

The picture of concentration

We had a great time and it was nice to just chill us girls – too bad Bryan missed out!

Wishing you friendship and love,

Amanda

Christmas!!!

This is seriously one of my favourite holidays! I love decorating and wrapping presents and most of all I love watching people’s faces to see if I guessed right as to what they’d love. I love being with family and friends and it’s really just a great time of year. This year we brought the camera along and took some photos at Bryan’s parents house. Traditionally we celebrate on Christmas Eve with Bryan’s parents and then Christmas day with mine. Seeing as how I had to be at my parents house for 8:30 am after getting home from Bryan’s parents at 4am – there only pictures of the Christmas Eve celebration. Cameras seem to be off limits on Christmas morning at my parents but I think next year I am going to bring it anyways!

Here’s some photos from one side of the celebration . . .

Bryan’s mom – washing up just before dinner . . . with his Dad in the background

This is Minou . . .

This is Bryan’s brother Matt

Me sitting at the table with Sarah – Matt’s girlfriend

I was trying to take a photo of our Freddie boy by the tree but he was just too darn interested in the cat!

The scary thing is that my parents bought this for Bryan’s dad!

The boys

Every year “Santa” always manages to find a way to tease the kids so that instead of hopping right on they are wary of where they are going to be tickled or poked!

This is my favorite – this is why I love shopping for presents – this look of happiness right here

Bryan’s bro Kevin with one of his kids on the couch

Where’s Santa???? He’s not jut for the kids – we all have to er I mean get to sit on his lap too!

Wishing you friendship and love,

Amanda
