Ok the thing is – I still have two more blog posts to go “technically” for me to be caught up – but I’m tired and with the wedding tommorrow I need my sleep
I made a nice dent though eh? But the two other things I need to blog are from today so I think I can get away with waiting just a little bit

The first two weeks is probably some of the best times do baby photos – babies are so sleepy and calm that it makes it a little easier. Little Owen was about three weeks (i think?) and his mom asked me to come out to the house and take a few photos of his perfect little face and sweet fingers and toes. I had a great time and his room just had so many little details and things I wanted to capture. Congratulations to you and your family Stephanie – Babies are such a wonderful joy . . .
Look at that cute little face . .
Asleep with all his teddies . .

I love the name above the change table – it’s such a great idea!

Amy contacted me recently to do some family photos for her – a friend of hers Jen (whose wedding and family photos I’ve photographed) referred me to her and we had a great time out at HH Knoll running around after her two little ones! Check out some of the photos. . . .
Now those are some looks of pure joy – I love taking families out to the park to do their photos – it makes it a lot better for the kids and definitely easier for the parents.

What does a human trying to imitate a moose call attract? Apparently it’s the sort of thing that attracts Ida to Les. I always have fun on engagement sessions but I think their session is the first time I laughed so hard I cried (literally). Les is hilarious and makes Ida (and everyone really) laugh like crazy. We had an awesome time around the botanical gardens and even took some photos up by the hydro plant. Check em out!

I love letting new clients know that I really like to be friends with my clients, they get this look on their face that either says one of two things; This lady is crazy or Sounds cool with me. Colleen & Jochen are definitely a part of that second category. These two are definitely people that we now consider friends beyond the client relationship, in fact since they came up this past weekend they are being so gracious to have us come down and visit them in a few weeks. One of the things that struck me during their wedding was just how awesome both of their families were and how well they all got along. Sometimes it was hard to distinguish between eachother’s family because everyone was so friendly with each other. Colleen & Jochen’s wedding was beautiful but beyond that it was great to get to know some truly wonderful people. One person in particular, was Colleen’s sister Christine. After the reception slideshow I heard the story of her wedding photos and how her photographer (at the time) wouldn’t even return her phone calls or emails. I was very angry at this and I felt bad that at that point she didn’t really have anything to remember her day.
The next day Colleen & Jochen had invited Bryan & I to their day after brunch and we enjoyed our time with their families. They made us both feel so welcome that when the topic came up again I told both Colleen & Christine that when Colleen did her trash the dress session that Christine could come all dressed up too, free of charge and get photos done as well. Christine & Tim were definitely excited and Colleen very appreciative. So this past weekend they got in their dresses again and had fun kissing, staring at, running around, and walking hand in hand with their husbands. We had a great time and considering the cold – definitely appreciated the homemade turkey soup waiting at home! Thanks again to all four of you for coming down and staying for dinner afterwards – it was definitely good company. See you in four weeks!

All four of them together
I am seriously in love with Colleen’s veil – I am pretty sure I could do a shoot based just around it – I pretty much did ! Check out the next few ones.
Ummm notice anything different? Yes I have a very talented husband – he is an amazing photographer in his own right and sometimes (up until now) I have posted his work but not given him credit. Not on purpose, just honestly never thought of it. He sheepishly asked me the other day why I didn’t and I told him the truth but promised him from now on I’d share with everyone his gorgeous shots. This next one is my favorite from the shoot.
I’m sure we’ll have photos from when we go up and visit – can’t wait!
Wishing you friendship & love,
Amanda
