Have you had Christmas photos done yet?

Hello blog world! From now until Dec 15th ALP is offering holiday onsite portraits for 150$ – and includes the disk of photos – which is a savings of 25$. To celebrate this holiday portrait I got into the spirit and decided to terrorize my beautiful Freddie – Just a little bit! I promise! It’s been awhile since he’s made an appearance on the blog and he’s gotten so big – I thought you’d like an updated photo…..


Aww isn’t he precious lol – He was dressed as a court jester for Halloween and now a reindeer for Christmas. Yup! Can you tell he’s not impressed lol :) I still love him

The next thing I’d love to show you is my lovely puppy being himself. I was on the phone the other night and I was running myself a bath, and the next thing I knew I heard “Splash”! I go to check the bathtub and there is Freddie in the bathtub digging through water for something. I guess he had knocked some Qtips at the side of the bathtub into the water and decided to dive in after them. 7 down . . .

So if you count this post (and I do – but again I’m biased) I’ve written 7 posts today for the blog. Tomorrow I will then need to write 1 for that day and then another 3 to catch up :) Thanks to all of you who have been patient with me – i know it’s kind of cheating to go back and do all the posts for the other days but please see the aforementioned reason (and it’s a good one) below. In the meantime I am probably going to head home and spend time with Freddie – and eagerly await the new episode of “the Hills” tonight. Ladies don’t even pretend you don’t watch it – I don’t believe you hehehe. Also keep your eye out for some news coming up – Things are going to get interesting around here :)

sooooooo … a blog post a day?

Oh yes I know I can hear you – what about my promise to post a blog a day! Where have I been? I do keep my promises when it’s physically possible for me to but unfortunately AL photography had something a little sad happen. Our mascot – my beautiful new puppy Freddie got very sick. We were actually worried for a little while there that he might have to have surgery. So I stayed home with him and worked from home while keeping an eye on him for a couple of days. Well a couple of days away = a whole lot of time needed to catch up. Thanks to many of you for your patience while waiting for a return email or a call back. Things are finally back up to speed and we will be working away on getting the blog up to date for the rest of the day. Although I haven’t blogged for a little while things were still going on here so I am going to write a post for every day I missed and catch you guys up :) If there’s anyone even reading this :)

Dan & Amy – Family Shoot

As you can probably tell my blog post a day doesn’t extend to the weekend :) While I totally believe the weekend is worth blogging about and that I should be faithful in blogging – my promise to myself does not extend to Saturday and Sunday. I promise though I have a great reason for it. My husband works all week and gets home pretty late sometimes so the weekends are all we get – and we have to fit out time in and amongst shoots and weddings and other family commitments, so basically I just don’t want to add one more thing I have to do on the weekends lol :) So this weekend Bryan and I were working away at the office and in walked my scheduled 12pm appointment. DANA AND GEOFF :) They are getting married on May 24th and although I have no photos to show as of yet – it still wanted to mention it in my blog. This couple is great – they are warm and funny and I cannot wait til their wedding day. So we chatted for an hour or so and then they had to get back to their new home – they were actually moving in that day! Then at 2pm Amy & Dan show up for their in studio shoot :) with their two gorgeous and active little ones. Amy was worried about the boys being rambunctious but it just makes everything a little more fun. Her little guy Camryn, was so in love with our puppy Freddie he didn’t want to leave him on the other side of the office and actually got some shots with him :) Kaleb – the newest addition to the family is so cute and has this big smile. Here are a few of the shots we got :)

Freddie at the park

So as most of you can tell I use this blog as a personal blog + a business blog. Since most of the photos I take in my personal life are with the same camera I use for work I like to post both kinds of photos. I had an appointment today so I couldn’t be in the studio for the whole time with Brianne so after my appointment I decided to take my brother out for a late lunch and then bring him with me to the park with Freddie. Everyone in my family is crazy about dogs and well everyone who’s met Freddie is crazy about him. Here’s a few shots of Freddie running around :)
