When Lisa & Kevin came down to meet with me about their wedding this October I could tell right away that we were going to have a good time. After knowing someone for a long time and being in a relationship there is a new language that is born. It is a language of ease, comfort-ability and familiarity. Bryan and I often find people looking at us funny because we finish each other’s sentences and always seem to sense exactly what the other is trying to say. So imagine my excitement as Lisa & Kevin sat in front of me and were the exact same way with each other. Two soul mates who have known each other since high school, united their hearts in love and friendship forever this past Saturday and I was so honoured to be there to capture it.
I must confess I have been naughty in not blogging about it until now but I was so excited about their photos that I actually came home and edited them from top to bottom in 4 hours. We had a beautiful day full of blue skies and some of the most gorgeous clouds I have ever seen. To top it all off Lisa & Kevin pushed their arrival time by 5 minutes to get some killer photos in the setting sun. Thank you to both of you and your families for including myself and Katie in your special day. Mr & Mrs Doom you are honestly made for each other and anyone in your presence can sense that you are not only in love but also friends. I wish you both the best and good luck on the new home!

The church was gorgeous and it had this beautiful yellow stain glass window that was letting all this beautiful light from the sunset in on their heads. It’s the first time I’ve had to worry about sun flare in a church!
Kevin’s groomsmen were hilarious – they dubbed me the ninja photographer and challenged me the whole day to capture their crazy faces that they would make out of nowhere – This is their ninja moves!
